Yeah...I just happily updated my SRO...then i get the message about having to manually update...I think, ok...same thing...I wait paciently, again, to DL it...then i happily unarchive it and double click...and guess what...IT DOESN'T WORK....i mean god dammit :banghead:

! Now I'm searchin the web, because I erased SRO, for a patch to update my ancient 1.01 version to the one from where I can update the one they give...cuz guess what i can't update 1.01...because this patch is for 0.6 whatever to the one just provided...

I mean WTF ISN'T IT ON THEIR WEB PAGE!!!??? WHAT KINDA COMPANY IS THIS...

AND another thing...why were you expecting problems???Why for some it should works and for some not???That would be a nice thing to know!!!

Ok....got the 001_061 patch from file planet...aaaand...it gives me the send - don't send error...!!! I'm goin insane... :banghead:

Finally...can anyone here help me...I mean wtf should I do...?:shock:

ok everyone...i got it:D
and yes the quoted thing is exactly what is sais...

All this happened because the patch contains that 1 file besides the patch!!!
Don't copy the patch anywhere just double click...I guess others did it too, but I thought to tell all you guys who went through shit like me :banghead:

So this is exactly what I've done:

1. Downloaded the Client from http://www.silkroadonline.net (downloads section)
- this took about 1' 30"

2. Installed the game (without copying anything from the old version....only screens:D)

3. Ran the patch I got from fileplanet.com -->> mpatch_001_061
- it worked like a charm

4. Ran the manual patch I got from http://www.silkroadonline.net
- again...it worked like a charm :oops:

***I uninstalled the game before all this, cleard the reg files of Joymax entries and restarted my PC (not shure if it matters...except the uninstall...)

I re-installed and I ran the manually update to 1.062.

When I started the game, it started to auto-update but it gave me an error and shut down at around 70 percent -__________________-

sounds like you left the .dll file somewhere else. You have to run the patch .exe file from the same folder as the dll file that comes with it. Otherwise, Norton loves to stop patching programs so disable that if U got it.

how come it says that client version that is installed is 1.065 there is no patch that can patch 1.065 version manual patch??

that's because the .66 version update is super tiny so many ppl can download it at once without the server melting
