I always match my refresh rate with my windows XP desktop in games.
Anytime I exit the game, however, the monitor clicks loudly, goes black, and then to desktop. This happens on any exit (even when pressing confirm to 'disconnected from server' when traffic is too high).
This is a HUGE problem as constantly clicking/changing your resolution/refresh rate can damage a monitor. Help!
Specifics:
My desktop and game are set to: 1024x768, 100Hz, 32 Bit Color. But on every exit, it causes my monitor relays to open and close which should only happen if the game and desktop have different res/refresh/color settings. Eeeek, why is this happening? :O
Resolution/Refresh Rate (?) Change on EXIT
Thank you.
The only workaround I have so far is to open the task manager, and shut Silkroad down with 'end task.' I have no idea if this causes problems eventually, but it spares my monitor from an early demise.
It does not click then, but it is frustrating to have to go through all that just to exit the silly game
