sorry i was pissed and got off the computer. ... Well after b!tching for 1 and half hours they tried to use different DNS but nothing worked. I was telling them why the hell others works and ours don't. What so damn special about your ISP server then others? They keep saying its the Gaymax issue and i was like stop feeding me BS b.c everyother ISP doing fine except TW and adelphia. I also said they need to called Gaymax and resolve the issue soor or they will be loosing lots of customers. (I know its GAymax's issue too my i had to let it out on someone right?) Then they said ok we will try to contact them and will call me back. But nothing yet no call nothing. Also I tried the 4.2.2.1 n 4.2.2.2 and there is another one ... nothing. Adelphia blocking them all the way. Sorry guys nothing yet.

ALSO IF ANYONE CALLS ADELPHIA GO TO HIGHER LVL TECH NOT THE ONCE PICKS UP THE CALL. ASK THEM TO TRANSFER YOU TO HIGHER LVL TECH. THEY HAVE MORE IDEA AT WHAT THEY DO THEN THE ONCE PICKS UP. THE PEOPLE WHO PICKS UP THE CALL HAVE VERY LITTLE IDEA OF WHAT TO DO. (sorry about the caps but its to get your attention)
Thank you.

Hey, let me just say to all of you who've pulled your hair out trying to beat an answer/solution out of Adelphia and Joymax... THANK YOU for your effort even if nothing has been accomplished. I've e-mailed both numerous times with what I felt was helpful/useful messages trying to further a resolution but I must say I've about given up. I'm not going to use a proxy, I just don't trust them and there are enough other games out there to play, this is just very disappointing, especially when I worked so hard to get my friends on TW interested and playing and now they can but I can't. I am skeptical that when the full change over to TW happens it will resolve anything but perhaps... that however is months away I believe. I will check back periodically but just wanted to thank ya all for the effort. Have fun gaming!

Wow, so now we've had no silkroad for about a week and a half or so, and all that Joymax has done is ask for IP information after the limitless e-mails we send them? Will they ever get off their asses from their Korean SRO and help us? Don't they have a dedicated staff for the International version? One of the reason's I picked this game is because of the amazing amount of commitment they had for a free game. Any other game I've played, you call in so many similiar complaints and they jump on it right away till it's solved. These people look at it as not a problem, but a minor bug that could be dealt with later on when it's more important. :banghead: :banghead: :x :x :? :?  Why can't they just fix a few bits of their DNS, resubmit it to the ISP's (they could do this easily in 1-2 days) and let us all be happy with their wonderful game?

I just find it interesting how everyone complains about Adelphia, saying it's Adelphia's fault that they can't play SRO. If Adelphia isn't accepting corrupt DNS packets, they have good reason for it. If you're having a problem using a service, you should contact the owners of said service. Can't play SRO? Contact Joymax. I highly doubt Adelphia would contact Joymax to get them to improve their service anymore than Adelphia would contact Google or Microsoft to get them to change something. Now if Joymax was sending packets to Adelphia that degraded Adelphia service as a whole, then they may do something.

My home telephone often gets static on the line because of the lines in my house. When people call me and get a lot of static on the line and can't hear me, or get disconnected, they don't call my phone company to complain. They would tell me to fix my lines.

Other ISPs are likely accepting DNS packets from Joymax because 1.) the ISP doesn't consider the packet corrupt, or 2.) they don't care that it's corrupt. The fact that Adelphia is blocking "corrupt" (in Adelphia's view) DNS packets doesn't mean Adelphia's service is in any way broken.

Please read the thread then post on it. Thank you. If you would have read the thread you would see that it is not a DNS problem. I resolved that by using public DNS and still not being able to connect.

Sorry, I just thought I remembered reading a chat transcript between someone here and an Adelphia employee where they stated corrupt DNS packets were being sent and that it was an issue with the remote end and not with Adelphia, or something like that.

Im glad that more people appear who agree that corrupt packet broadcasting may not be acceptable for some providers, and that is actually their POLICY not their PROBLEM. Corrupt packets are formed on JM side, so the problem is for them to solve. So in my humble opinion problems should be identified and solved that they would comply to policies, but not policies altered to provide erroneus service.

You know I've been reading you whining and bitching like a little rag for a few days and bragging about how you are a big man by acting like an asshole whining to your ISP all the time...Adelphia is not blocking shit.

Have you taken the time to figure any shit out?

..as in hop eight is the last Adelphia/TWC server and the service moves off there pretty good.

Even the level 3 (gateway) seems to be sending the signal pretty good on hops 9, 10 and 11...

hmmmmmm WHat's this on hop 12??? 256 ms 256 ms 256 ms hkg-sa1.HKG.HK.net.DTAG.DE [62.154.5.237] ..Well this seems to be the start of a problem!!!!
I wonder who owns this...I guess if we follow c5downlow's limitless powers of deduction it must be Adelphia/TWC... let's just Whois this just to be sure..

Record Type: IP Address

Amsterdam!? Theres a problem server is in Amsterdam!? C-dog..you better call up Adelphia/TWC and tell them to fly some of their engineers to Amsterdam...maybe they'll do it faster if you offer to foot the bill.
You can call ahead for them and tell the dutch folks who own RIPE that Adelphia/TWC plans to come in to see what the problem is...
( I hope you can pick up the sarcasm here because I'm pouring it pretty deep for you)

Ok..once the Amsterdam issue is resolved let's see there the data actually stops: 18 288 ms 297 ms 297 ms 202.108.47.50
WhoIS this you may ask?

Queensland!?!?!?!?... Do you honestly think that Adelphia/TWC bear the responsibility of flying around the world fixing all the servers that you try to tap into????

I will tell you where your ISP's responsibility stops... 8 23 ms 23 ms 24 ms ae-1-0.p0.nyc90.twc-core.net [66.109.1.26]...anything bearing data like this is where your ISP will go to fix problems.

No it's not a DNS issue..because you can't surf there by IP.

C-diddle... I bet if you did make good on your threat to go to DSL...Adelphia would cry their hearts out at the loss of how great a customer you were, and how much useful information you brought them.

Now why don't you take that great little rabble-rousing, sleuthing mind of yours and call the people who can fix the problem for us...

..as in hop eight is the last Adelphia/TWC server and the service moves off there pretty good.

I believe this may be the best post ever.

The sarcasm just oozes off the screen. It's thick like butter and tastes like pure victory.
And the best part is your right. Your information is right on.

I'm not being sarcastic. This is the best post ever.

Sigh...I need a cigarette.

Well, I think what he said may actually hold some water if he actually traced the right url! You traced silkroadonline.com, not silkroadonline.net[/b]
