How to enable F1 - F4 keys?

Not sure if this goes in this section or if anyone can answer this, but I'm playing Silkroad on a Macbook Pro via Windows bootcamp. In the game, in order to change between skill bars you need to be able to use the keys F1 - F4 (without using the mouse, of course). However, for some reason only the keys F3 and F4 work for me; if I try pressing F1 and F2 it just adjusts the brightness of the screen (because of the function keys on the Mac system). Anyone have an idea of how I can get F1 and F2 to work; do I change some setting on either Windows or Mac?

System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse. Select the Keyboard Tab and then tick where it says "Using F1,F2, etc keys as standard function keys.

See if that works.
