Windows Live Messenger Error CAN BE LOCKED NOW

after i enter the email of the contact i want to add, it says adding *contact* is in progress..after some minutes it finished loading and i get this error:

this windows live service isn't available right now, but we'll add *contact* to your contacts as soon as the service is available again.You don't need to do anything else.

its getting very annoying..i tried re-installing the messenger and downloaded the latest version..also tried repair but nothing worked so far
so any suggestions

I've got the same error several times.

It happens every third day or so. What you have to do is close msn. press ctrl+alt+del and then close all progresses related to MSN. Then reboot the internet and computer and then it works again

lol its happening from a week and i dont keep my pc running 24/7 so every day i close pc and when i open again in the morning and try adding any 1 just give me that stupid error

iv had that many times and i have not found a way to fix it. so now i use the old school msn or xfire.

you should have it already if you are using windows XP if your on vista i am not sure.

i managed to fix the problem at last, deleted everything about windows live and msn messenger in my registry and documents and application data/history etc and stuff like that
