motherboard beeping

Post by Amarisa »

iv been working on a computer and its having some issues.

its giving me some beeping (meaning something is wrong)

goes 1 2 1 2 or 1 long 2 short 1 long 2 short (at least i think). been googling and have not found anything about it so ya......

ill upload the recorded sound if anyone would like to help me figure out the error.

EDIT: well i looking at the sound file with a audio editing program and it shows 1 3 2 beeps so i need to check that out

EDIT2: "1-3-2 64KB RAM failure The test of the first 64KB RAM has failed to start" so its the ram well i guess i need to mess around with the ram.

so what issues are you having? beeping doesn't mean anything, when i start my computer it beeps because there are usb devices plugged in. nvm, try taking the ram sticks out and put them back in, are you %100 sure it's 1-3-2 code?

well thats what it looks like from the recorded sound. i have tried moving around the ram using a old ram stick from my computer (the computers are the same model) and still nothing.

maybe something is wrong with the ram socket but from what i know it looks fine.
