internet connection

hi, right now im using a college provided internet via ethernet cable. for the first few weeks, the speed was 10mbps and when playing sro, i had very minimal lag

now the speed is still 10mbps, but i have 3secs of delay when i try to move, or use a skill or chat

my laptop is a sony with centrino, 1.73ghz

is there anything i can do to remove this lag or am i doomed? help is appreciated
