What the hell? Totally need help :/

So, I have this stupid problem: whenever I load the game my char is just standing in HT, no hp/mp bars are loaded, can't move nor are others moving. And this only happens when I load a char which is in HT. The internet seems to be fine (as fine as my crap-net can get), the pc is also not the worst. Has anyone ever had such a problem?

Yeah, sometimes your char is stuck, I just log off and back on. And most days even my 6 mb cable just crawls as Hotan loads. I hold down V soon as I see the Hotan screen load up. It helps for me; it might not for you.

No no, that's the point. I know that sh* sometimes happens (It used to happen before, I just had to wait like 20s or so), but this time like 1/3 of ht population loads and after waiting ~1min I get dc. That's no ordinary problem

Well, um, you didn't mention that you got DC'd, in which case I have less input for you, sorry.

Can't you drop the graphics details? try on different PC? Adjust view so only your character is visible? Anything to change what you're seeing.

well i am assuming that your firewall is not blocking the connection when u get in game, cause that is the only cause i know of, other wise your some how stuck, i really have no explanation other than that, i would suggest to send a bunch of bug reports asking for your char to be moved to another (less busy) location and see if that helps.

Well, it only happens when I'm in HT, no problems in other towns. It's looks like HT is half-loaded... Must be due to my internet connection, there's no other explanation (although my neighbour doesn't have this problem with the same ISP )

yea it seems like your client times out there for going to disconnect, idk could be just that your comp cant handle it but idrt that would be the problem, as suggested try putting all the settings to the lowest and see if that helps at all.

When your Hotan character logs in, does the game run for any length of time, even a few seconds, before freezing? If so, perhaps you can have your guild master use one of those guild recall scrolls from the item mall to recall you as soon as you log in. You'd have to time it just right so the request comes up on your screen those first few seconds so you can acknowledge it.

This is all assuming you have at least a few seconds before the freeze occurs. You might not be able to move your character, but maybe the guild recall notice can come up on your screen to acknowledge? I think you'd end up going to whatever town your GM is in. Even if you freeze before the actual teleport, it might work on the server end so when you log back in, you'll be in the new town.
