Start Button isn't showing up

The start button and news/updates won't show up. I've tried restarting the computer and it still doesn't show up. I've been waiting for over half an hour and nothing is happening.

make sure your firewall is not blocking the clients connection to the internet, and keep trying some times the client can be stubborn >_>

go to silkroadonline.net and after it has loaded the webpage try to start silkroad

I think you need to exit the client, and open it back up again, if it doesn't work after a number of repeated tries, then i guess it won't work for you.
