What in-game settings should I use for my Specs

Post by GingerBreadMan »

My specs:
--AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 2.00 Ghz
--Apacer ddr RAM 512mb 400mhz (x2)
--Radeon 9600 Series Video Card (256mb)
--VIA K8T800 Chipset on ASUS K8V-X motherboard

Now what would be the most suitable in-game settings to use for SRO?

I woudl suggest:

1024x768

Skip shadows or use Circle setting

Water settings : lowest (not often you see water anyway but it redices fps even if you don´t see any water)

"Bloom effect": Nope (Hurt my eyes anyway)

Visibility seeting: 2 or 3

Everything else max

Remember to have Vertical Sync to off in your gfx driver settings or your fps will be much lower.

Also remember that fps in towns are always much lower than in the field so don´t worry of you have as low as 10 fps in town. If you get lower than 10 pretty much constantly maybe you need to lower some of teh other settings as well or visibility even further.

^ cool. oh, what does vertical sync do?

I also don't know how to turn it off. In the ATI Catalyst Control Center, under Monitor Properties, it gives me the option to adjust the h. and v. sync...but I don't see an option to turn any of them off altogether.
