Unable to transfer packages(network) smoothly.

Post by rainyboi »

hi, i m a new player of sro. When i was playing, i discovered dat there were a long pause when i was in game. Its not lag ( lag in my opinion refers to the random jerk of the screen). It juz pause. I was using a wireless adaptor through the router. I discover that when tis so called "pause" happens, the flashing of the light of both the router and my adaptor stops. In my opinion, it would means that transfering of packages stop. So is there a way to solve is problem?

btw, i m using 2wire router with 1500kps playing with SMC wireless adaptor. Intel P4 3.00 ghz, 1.5 gb ram.

I have occasional performance issues in-game as well. Often I'll be running and not be able to change course because the game won't respond to my commands. Other times I'll sit down and then "teleport" across the terrain as if still moving forward. I simply attribute these sorts of things to poor server performance or high latency (I have a hard line connection, not wireless).

If there's a specific issue with your wireless router, you'll probably get better responses from your router's tech support site / documents, or from a site like www.dslreports.com.

As long as the issues aren't gamebreaking (i.e. doesn't cause a crash or disconnect) then it's probably not a big deal, and is simply a minor performance issue.
