There's no 'luck' stat. Drop rates for items are fixed on the server; everyone has the same chances of finding a particular drop.
Arguably the most useful elixir is the Weapon one. It is also the rarest.
Estimated prices (Xian server)
Accessory: 30k
Protector: 40k
Shield: 50-60k
Weapon: 300-350k

Lucky Powder is used in Alchemy, and the stickied guide in the Guides section will explain all about that.

think the prices of elixirs are very different, depending on server. i began to play on troy server there standard price for weap. elixir was about 235k, now i started a new char on alps and weap. elixiers only selling for 150k. if u want to know how much u can get for elixirs its best to look in the stalls and at chat box to see the current price.

You just necromanced a very old thread. Those prices are obviously far off from what they are now. Generally older servers have inflated prices due to greedy players. Out of necessity, new servers have better rates due to increased trading and selling of valuables needed to keep the economy alive.
On Xian (5 months later):
Acessory: 25-30k
Protector: 30-40k
Shield: 35-45k
Weapon: 200-250k

drop rates are actually not known to the public
you see, sro could modify drop rates according to the level of the character who killed the monster -- apparently this does happen.
also -- sro could modify the drop rate depending on your wealth and item make up already. so that poorer players get more valuable items.
these things are not known.
but moogie is right in that the general principle is that a drop rate is set across the server. however, we do not know if all servers have the same drop rate setting.
it's pretty freaky - but if we take soses as an example, the numbe rof players who do not ever seem to get soses and those who get a lot suggests that -- perhaps, it is not an even probability for drops across players and levels.

O.o
Yes wat u must remember is that the drop rate or everyone on the server is a number... Its not like the GM sits at a terminal pressing a button when he decides that you should get a drop.. To be honest its just your luck..
When you break it down each and every item has a certain secret number.. and what u must remember is that your character is also a number.. There is then a program which tells the server that if your Char number "kills" a mob number it will decide what item number to "drop" most of the time it wont be anything but gold (which has its own number).
So in essence you do have to be lucky.. Just kill the right monster at the right time.. now whether the drop rate stays the same im not sure... but from personal experience. if you kill a monster which is higher lvl than u. then you are slightly more likely to get a drop... I cannot say im 100% certain but i do believe this is true

I don't think so.
I've been hunting Maongs for two lvls (since lv 35) and I get less drops from them than from previous monsters that I've hunted.
It may be the particular monster, a coincidence with bad luck, or reverse of what you suggested.

It seems that the higher my level the more rare drops I get.

Harder mobs=less likely to drop. Especially if you're grinding stuff 7-8 levels above you. You kill less per potion, so you have less of a chance to get a drop by the time you go back to town.

Highest chance of getting items would be from the silver mobs, then orange, the blue and finally red. Maybe orange and blue swapped around im not sure but they're fairly close. The main thing is, if you fight a red mob(something more than 5lvls ahead of you) it is almost impossible for you to get an item out of it so you might as well not try unless you're extremely lucky.

Well I do not hunt for drops, I hunt for exp atm, so I'm good. But thanks for your input, I was not sure how the whole thing worked!
