Stalling Items

Lets say I have 10 of the same item in my inventory and I only want to stall them 5 at a time, how do I do that?

I have the same question
but i think it's impossible unless you save stuff in your storage before getting more.

The item should be in your character inventory...
holding down shift key and selecting an item should open the confirmation window to split the quantity
