pm them, if they dont reply they might be a bot or attack them if then dont react then they obviously are a bot

If someone is just running around killing every mob that is nearest to them, it is most likely they are a bot. And most bots take the same path to their attacking spots. Take Jangan for example, most bots attack yeoha so they run to the west gate and then towards yeoha. Most bots will stop at the same spot on their way to yeoha. I've seen high level traders standing in the path of the bots with a lightning archer attacking the trader. The lightning splash kills all these botters. Its quite funny seeing them die. hehe

Bots have a way of grinding :
1- Always using same sequence of attacking skills
2- After killing the mobs, they quickly pick the items, usually leaving arrows and bolts
3- They'll be wall huggin most of the time, when left to train in a place crowded with obstacles
4- For some gold bots, if you drop an item near them (say an arrow, or 1gold), they will come to pick it.
Best way to recognize a bot (usually works) : It will be ksing ur a$$ on every mob, will try to pick ur drops, even tho it didnt hit the mob, won't react to ur *gtfo u f@%kin ksing d-bag* insults.

i dunno if thats a good way to spot one. my wiz just stands in a spot and i spam the fire and ice nukes on everything. so just because i kill everything doesnt make me a bot. also when i was a low lvl chin i would take the west gate to get to yeoha's so idk if thats the best example either. best way to tell is 1st send them a message asking if their a bot. 2nd if they dont respond attack them once and see if they attack back, if they dont you know their a bot

everythign is good except about the sending them a pm thing. . .SEND THEM A NOTE! Why? because pms are easy to miss, many people (myself included) sometimes lvl with the chat window down when noobs start spamming globals or when I just dont want to talk to anyone, and dont randomly attack people, that will only get you killed (unless you are realyl low to them or something) I mean the first reaction when I get attacked by some noob is too attack back. . .
so recognize teh patters they are running, send a note, its pretty hard to miss the notes I mean its a big giant envolope on the right part of your screen. . .only botters miss it lol

Bots have a way of grinding :
1- Always using same sequence of attacking skills
cause it kills the mobs the fastest2- After killing the mobs, they quickly pick the items, usually leaving arrows and bolts
cause they're worthless and i don't spam G to pick up stuff3- They'll be wall huggin most of the time, when left to train in a place crowded with obstacles
eh, sometimes im close to walls to...4- For some gold bots, if you drop an item near them (say an arrow, or 1gold), they will come to pick it.
bots have arrrows turned off, and if u drop gold, im gonna come over and grab it, cause i just click on it a lot.Best way to recognize a bot (usually works) : It will be ksing ur a$$ on every mob, will try to pick ur drops, even tho it didnt hit the mob, won't react to ur *gtfo u f@%kin ksing d-bag* insults.
umh... that sounds like me grinding...
but yeah, this could be a bot. but you can't just accuse anyone. if random people whisper me, i don't reply. i don't care what they ask me... most of the "sdfadsfas" names are bots. not all. you can tell its a bot because of the time it takes it to go from one monster to another. but not always...

From my experience bots just going around in circles killing everything and not picking up bolts and bolts dosent mean anything I dont do that either waste of space but they dont pick up any pots including Vigor pots etc.

Just look for the player stuck up against a wall, tree, rock or what ever running in place. Id guess over 80% of bots get stuck on something. The other good way is dropping small amounts of gold near a tree like some one else said. Most bots will stop killing to pick up gold. If you drop a trail of gold the bot should follow you. If your lucky you can drag the bot near higher lvl aggressive mobs.

One thing: Go ahead and attack me. If I'm afk in a grinding party I'll go stand by the wall. So, no, I don't always respond, because I can do that, my buffs are 20 minutes+ long and RD is 5.
Then you can deal with my buds who ask "Who's this guy smacking our cleric?? Get him!!!"
In all seriousness, people who go AFK in a safe spot...well, kinda hard to tell. But bots will be actively fighting.
And I don't check allchat, and ignore a lot of PM's because most of them are asking for res or money. I'm busy enough keeping the party healed/buffed that I don't always respond. Besides that, we're either in Vent or Xfire talking anyway.
PM'ing a person grinding isn't always the best way to determine if they're botting. Just be aware of that. Wallhumping, imho, determines that.

if you get random party invites in town from players you dont know, its 95% chance its a bot

usually wallhumping. but not always, cause there are times when u lag and u end up running into a wall without even knowing. (happens to me a lot.... *sigh*)
