Id say merchant/theif. Doesnt matter much though. But i feel like a theif with range could sneak up on trades, zerk, kill 1 or 2 hunters without others noticing and own.

Depends on, in the lower lvl's trader, and later you can choose between hunter or thief..
Hunter would be a good choice if you are pure str, so you ain't dead in one hit from a wizzy
