Question about leveling

Post by samaljurf »

ok i am a lvl 26 warrior/cleric havent done any quests yet exept europe tut and inventory expansion i have a lvl 4gap sp farming but it seems as if other people lvl much faster than me whats they best way to lvl? grind and do quests? or what and if grinding how does a warrior/cleric grind? i know that nukers and wizards just grind on 1 hit monsters .. so how does a warrior grind on 2-3 hit monsters?

The same way any melee does...........hit them often enough till they die :P

IMO questing is the single fastest solo method of levelling at lower levels and has other benefits too:

~ You learn the different mobs and what it's like to tackle them solo or in groups
~ You learn the maps and how to get around
~ You gain some somewhat useful buff scrolls etc
~ The quest reward is usually generous, and with the additional xp/sp from grinding through it, you can boost your lvls and skills rapidly
~ For me, xping on different sorts of mobs relieves the boredom of grinding - I dont know HTH ppl keep killing the same thing day after day, week after week

While you might not want to go back and kill some green or blue mobs just to say you've completed the quests, it might be worth looking through the quest listings to see which ones give the better lvls of xp reward and go 1-hit whack some low lvl mobs :D

The problem for euros is the mastery lvl requirement for better armour
If you keep a large gap you're hampering your damage and defence by being forced to use lower lvl armour - at least you can use a weapon appropriate for your lvl

Gapping to a certain extent, especially for 1 mastery only, should be all you need to do for quite some time....

or....

...do what I did with my rogue:

Euros tend to get next new skill or updated skill every 4 lvls (and others can be updated in between) eg 24, 28, 32 etc

If you're 4-gap now, I'd suggest lvling mastery to 24, then let the gap open as you lvl up, only further increasing your mastery at 28, then 32 and so on
(you've always got the option of interfering with that process if you drop/buy a really good bit of armour which you could use *if your mastery were high enough)

That should give you plenty of sp to play with until much higher lvls
