European in Chinese Areas?

I have a European character, while my little brother and sister have Chinese characters. I'm pretty sure that I can teleport all the way to Jangan (for a pretty steep price), but I'm concerned with how I will equip myself as we level. I can use mule characters to buy items from Constantinople, but it would be pretty sad if I couldn't use any items that are dropped.

Here are my questions...

1) Is it really possible to teleport all the way to Jangan? I don't want to teleport to Samarkand, then have to teleport back. I only have 21k because my character is level 9.

2) Will Chinese monsters start dropping European items if I kill them, or am I really stuck using generic white items bought from shops?

1) You can teleport from Constantinople to Samarkand to Hotan to Downhang to Jangan. I'm not sure but I thought you have to pay 5k each time so from Constantinople to Jangan cost 20k.

2) No, Chinese monsters drop only Chinese items and vice versa. When you are in Jangan, you have to go back everytime for new items.

I would make a Chinese character if I were you.

I don't mind paying 20k to get to Jangan. I actually have a Chinese character on the same server, but I don't like him much. I have to wait until level 17 to get one nuke, then level 30 to get my other nukes. With my Warlock, I have a nuke at level 4 (and DoT spells, which I like even more). I'll decide whether I go there or not once we start playing.
