"Please Wait..."

After you clicked on the new Silkroad download icon, you get a "Please Wait..." sign come up right? How long was yours up there for? Because its been telling me to "Please Wait..." for almost 30mins now :x

It (the speed) depends on your internet connection and computer.

Not always, I remember having to re-install Silkroad once and I had the same problem. The 'Please Wait' in a grey box was there for ages before actually installing. Then when I reinstalled again, it was almost instant. It came up for a little while yesterday and then installed.... so it could depend on your connection or it might depend on something else, server traffic or something. Just keep trying, it's normal!

I had the same issue, it just kept hanging there at Please Wait. I opened up my Task Manager and the loader is eating up RAM huge. I turned off my antivirus, closed any open programs and anything running in my system tray, ran it again, it used almost 400mb of my available RAM to launch itself. Not sure why, but with all that stuff closed, it connected with in 2min and started the upgrade process at which point the RAM usage dropped way down to a more normal level. Try closing or disabling everything you can even the stuff in the system tray, especially if you've got an older pc with a low amount of RAM, see if that helps.
