GUys guys guys... really curious to knw whts so special in ONG farming that every other person is refering to ONG grinding or farming.. donno why.. its 43 lvl mob n hw can a 1 lvl or 10 lvl character can get any exp out of it? and if its abt the place, then we have N number of other safer places where we can make sit out power levellees and we plvl them

well i dont really know, but its a popular mob for sp farming, maybe because thhe area in wich he is is a big area and there are alot of places to farm, i dont have a clue..

If you have a 9 gap anywhere from 43 or 44 then its a VERY good farming area.
One SP or more per kill.
SP faming is popular.
Hence ONGS being popular.

ONgs are not special!!The reason why people pfarm at ongs is because at lower plvl its easier to kill the mobs for who ever is plvling and plus at lower lvls you get higher sp exp than at higher lvls. Dinggg....

Its good Cuz of their Spawnrate And everymob is good aslong as its same or higher level then you are with a 9 gap.. i prefer to farm at Maongs (43) but its your choise if you get P0werfarmed go to ongs at level 22 ~26 then get deleveld and Do it again with a 9 gap that is the fastest way to get SP.

You need to forget one thing.
Since Joymax implemented party mobs the 9 gap thing is a bit changed.
So if you go @ ongs with 14 level difference (char lvl / mob lvl) you still gonna get decent XP/SXP from the pt mobs.
I started grinding on new mobs with a 14lvl difference.

Example:
my lvl 42-44 @ penons 54
...... 50-52 @ PEGs 64
...... 60-62 @ bones/guards and even Generals
The beginning lvls 60-64 @ gens were a bit slow with leveling up but you get 8d drops, so decent lvling up and a bit of economy boost won't hurt you.

Back to the topic,
you can start plvl/farm @ ongs when you hit 20.
The special about ongs is the FAST and BIG spawn, and they have perfect spots where you can position your nubs so they won't die. (ofc. if someone doesn't bring some pt mobs and do a genocide)

like what was said by the prior to posts it is because of the spawn rate, as a wizard I can sit on one of the mounds were they spawn and hardly have a second were I dont have one to kill and never even have to move.

Ongs is a popular place to powerlevel and powerfarm because because they have a good spawn rate.
good spawn rate = more mobs killed/hour. also, ongs is a good place to farm (not powerfarm)because their lvl is close to a degree (5th degree), so u can get a sox weapon to farm.

JUST PFARM AT ONGS

Ongs has the best power farming spawn rate . Later it would be recommended to farm a character at Ongs before starting to grind.

Wrong Ongs. They mean the Ongs south of Samarkand which are 10 lvls lower and have a high spawn rate. The low levels can stay at the edge of the map or on the river gorge and are safe there. But the best place to farm is west of Niya Remains on lvl 79/80 mobs. You get 10k sp a day, gold and drops but you need a good pt for that.

Not true.

As pointed by cfc, ongs at samarkand (the usual reference to powerleveling) are level 33~34 mobs. The high spawn rate in a small area with a decent safe zone are, add to the fact that you can do so at a lower level (to powerfarm or raise an academy) makes them a popular spot. If just purely to powerfarm you chould do so at any high spawn area (such as caves), but due to greed and the promise of an SoH weapon, many players love that spot and fight over it.
