i was told blood ongs aren't aggerssive, so i took my noob character up there to get power leveled by a friend.. everything goes ok until a champion (or higher) blood ong spawns, and it starts attacking the noob character.

is there a way around this, perhaps somewhere were champions wont spawn?

Maybe try the Harmony Therapy. Blood Ongs are still lvl 33, so it would prevent them from attacking. But yeah, u'll need force for it

You know the bridge between the closiers and the ongs?

Get your low lvl on that bridge, while the higher char fights the ongs.

If I read the question right...

There is no where that you can go that will guarantee that a champion will not spawn
As far as giants, Blood Ong is the only creature from level 19-40 that does not spawn a giant...but they do spawn champions...
And since Blood Ongs are level 33 and non-aggressive, this must be so peeps can camp there for easy expected kills instead of fighting a giant that may cause difficulty beyond the characters ability...

Hmmmmm.... Interesting...

Cant be for spell farming... level 23 armor vs blood ongs?... nah... would have to be quite the +3 level 32 weapon. But maybe...

Are there areas that just spawn one type of creature?
Yes, even when the area is surrounded by usually say two types, there are small areas that spawn JUST one type like say blood ongs instead of blood ongs and ongs but that is research and trial and error. In short, never have seen a JUST blood ong spawn area...

Blood Ong euro side DO spawn giants...

Even if the normal ones are non aggro, champions and giants are aggro. Try to position you nub somewhere and then dont kill mobs around him -> no mobs killed means no new mobs that spawn

I could get a screen of many points where they won't attack your nub, I'll upload it tonight.

I should really make that map. There is an awesome spot by the mountains on a hill. Can pwrlvl 7 people at once.

Ok here it is;



At the green circles, you won't be attacked by any ong.
But sometimes other people are powerleveling theirselves/others already there, so you need to find a good spot

The red circles are the places you can go to, but you need to watch out a bit, sometimes an ong will get to your nub char, but that doesnt happen regulary..

don't forget, a little further south from the southern bridge there is a spot you can "hang" your lowbies off the cliffside a little bit while killing ongs a short distance away, kinda like south of the north bridge.

I usually don't put 'em on the bridge because sometimes people will drag aggro'd monsters through there...

they also spawn party giants too..

yeah, but it has chinese letters so I guess its either ksro/csro or psro, those have Roc Mountain
