Parry Ratio: It determines the amount of damage you receive from attacks. The lower the percentile the higher the damage you receive, whilst the higher the percentile the lower the damage you receive.

are you sure about attack rating? i was pretty sure it had to do with determining the speed of your attacks/skills

Parry Ratio-How much damage you can reduce.If your parry ratio is high then you will take low dmg.
For example u have a garment with parry ratio of 15. Lets say you took 257dmg. If you had garment with parry ratio of 18, then you take like 240 dmg. So the higher PR the lesser DMG.
