Question bout guilds..

Ok, I formed a guild when I was lvl 20 and I have a few members but I am looking to give it to another member or just disband it but I want to know if I will still have a 3 day penalty or w/e it is to not join a guild? I am looking to join a trading guild on Tibet or just a very active guild with a decent amount of members so this would be helpful to know
