no it doesn't. Your connection must've timed out for a few seconds.

A similar thing happened to me today. It turns out my campus connection was failing. If you weren't there when it happened, that's probably what happened: your connection timed out.

It's the strength of your connection. If you're using wireless, try switching to a wired connection. Otherwise, try moving your computer closer to the router, or get a better router. Wireless generally sucks, though, so your best bet is to run an ethernet cable to your computer.

Huh? 30-40 feet on a good router would be more than adequate. I have a PC in my basement that is less than 20 feet away from the router (just on a different floor) and the signal is only about 35%. It's because of all the walls and crap in between. If you have line of sight to wifi, that's as good as it gets. Wifi is just laggier to begin with.
If you can see the router/modem/whatever and you're still getting disconnected, seriously consider running a cable. You can do a 100 foot Cat 6 cable with no problems.

I think there are things to restrengthen your signal...Dunno for sure tho

Yes, you can get "repeaters" but you need to configure them; if he's at a college or something that probably won't be possible.
Otherwise just a piece of cardboard, some Reynolds Wrap (aluminum foil) shaped into an L will direct/strengthen the signals somewhat (again, if he's got access to the antenna on the router).

I don't think it's got to do anything with the connection. I have a pc cable connected and still have a hell alot of this problem not even when stalling as I am playing and it does pi**es you off. It sucks.
I think it's got to do with the error recently faced due to diconnection of under water cable somewhere near eygpt taht have effected everyone else everywhere. I heard that it has been rectified 44% and the whole job may take further 2-4 weeks more. in order to get back in shape.
Most of the times after trying so hard for a whole hour non stop trying to logg in, I might be lucky enough to logg in but within 2 max 3 minutes I am booted.
I hope I'm wrong but I guess this is the actual problem not yr connection.
