What Happens If I Upgrade SoS Armour And It Fails?

i want to make all my sos armour +2

It would just go back to +0
It will break, red stats or +0 again if you go pass +5.

uhm let me get this straight.

so i got sos armour , and i made it +1, than +2, and than it fails. it will get red stats? because sos counts as +5.

or will it just go back to +0?

making your sos armor +2 don't have risks
i would make it +3 if i were you tho.

Sos counts as +5 only when comparing the stats, but they both have no connections in term of alchemy.

If you have an sos thats already +5 and to you try to + it once more, it might be able to get a red stat.

you can safely make +4your sos without res stats or destroying and probably it wont be destroyed at +5 but after +5 it is really too risky to go on ;)

Immortal and Steady. And Astral protects failing to +0 when trying +5.

immortal is 45 silk :S i prefer destroying nonblue staff to make +7 destroyed 2 +6 weapon one day i will make +7 ;)

can i add in some question on +1ing here?

i remember there are few un-prefered effects of when +ing the item, can someone tell me at what stage does each of them start.

1. Destroyed
2. Reduce Durability
3. Not Repairable
4. Go back to lower + => this should be anytime after +1, rite?

and does Steady stop "Not Repairable" from happening?

and does Immortal ALWAYS stop "Destroyed" from happening? or only sometimes
