Warrior/Wizzard - Does this work at high level areas?

Hello,

im a Level 23 Wizzard and i dont have skilled a subtree.
My character makes cool dmg and im happy about it :D
But a friend is warrior/wizzard and he's wearing heavy armor, hes nearly full int and he has only skilled (and uses only) wizzard skills.

At the moment he is level 26 and he can easily kill Level 32 Mobs cause they only do little DMG to him and he deals dmg as a level 26 wizzard.

My Question is:
Will this Build also work in higher level areas(i think about 50-60) and shall i skill wizzard/warrior only to wear heavy armor?

thx in advance

CruX

PS: i played Guildwars for about 28 Months, and if some1 is Warrior as main and mage as 2nd class and hes only usin mage skills i would laugh because it is so dumb. This is why i cant believe that this combo works, because it would be just to overpowered...

its no good...wizard has NOTHING to support warrior, and to hit high with wizard u need to be full int, but then if your a warrior u will die easily because for warrior u need to be full str

How can your friend use wizard skills with heavy armor? Don't you need to wear robes to be able to use a wizard staff?

surely you can do this wizard/warrior and you must update your warrior mastery to wear armor everytime you lvlup but you will be slow and wizard skills take %20 more mana and for later lvls you must make sp farm :

U think that taking a normal combo is better, ok. (/cleric or /bard)
I also think that a Wizzard is meant to be a DMG Dealer and not to be a tank, but im gonna wait for more opinions :D

If I were making a wizard, I would go Wizard/Cleric. Just my opinion. I really haven't seen a Wizard/Warrior in high lvl play.

better to take cleric as the second mastery and wear light armor if you MUST not wear robe because cleric has skills will actually help a wizard all warrior has in heavy armor which will make you slow, run out of mp (because of pot delay) and die in 1 hit to other ints which i think would already happen anyway but you get the idea

i think what hes trying to say is that he is only using warrior mastery for the armour: he doesnt buy and warrior skills, just ups the mastery same as his wizard mastery, so he can weild heavy armour.

i thought of doing this same thing for my cleric. just for the heavy armor. would save me from having to farm more sp for a sub. but i was afraid the extra benefits i gain from wearing light armor might be better in the long run.
