Need a bit of help on blues

If i had a sword with like a crit of 10, and i bought a shield which in the blues for it, it had crit 35, would my crit then me 45? because of sword AND shield.

The crit on your shield's purpose is to avoid crits, i dont know how much, but it does reduce crits
