wad is a gap

i searched quite a few pgs but all gifs no relevant info abt gap.plz help im new in sro wad does a gap do anyways.ppl say they hav X no. of gaps to train but i hav no idea wad izzit abt.thx in adv

Gap is the numeric difference between your current level and your highest mastery's level (E.g., if your level is 16 and your only mastery is Fire lvl 7, then your Gap is 9). The higher your gap, the more SP exp you gain and less character exp you gain; the opposite also being true.
