Is DOT affected by mag. attack?

Effects like Burn, poison, bleed, etc: is it absolute damage, or does it depend on int/magical attack/mob's defense? If I was pure str and used a level 1 warlock rod, but had maxed toxin, would I do as much DOT as if I had pimped high level equips and full int?

Basically I'm just wondering to decide how good warlock is as a subclass for rogue and warrior that don't have int.

im not sure but the more dmg u do the DoT dmg is higher too.
i.e u do 300, the burn might b 14and if u do 1000 the burn might be say 64

its lvl of effect based notice on the things that cause bleed and burn, how they say burn effect(40) or what ever thats how much the actual burn is, i don't know how that translates into real damage, but then the warlock dot like toxin has its own dot and can cuase posion, the posion will do an absolute based on its effect and the lvl of the thing effected, but damage from the dot will be lowered if there is less int behind it

What foudre said

Burn/poison status is absolute, but if you are using a DOT skill that also has a magic attack range in the description it depends on your magic attack power(based on weapon and int points), and of course opponents defense.
