they surely can. When Fable guild duped gold on babel, they got banned pretty fast and they did a rollback. They must see big transactions and all, but im not 100% sure

Even if JM could see who was buying gold, i doubt very much that they would ban them
About the economy, sure it would go up due to gold buyers/botter, without gold buyer, 8D SOSun weapons would be selling for like 200mill - 300mill
Also i get the feeling JM like Gold botters....they cause the servers to fill up, forcing players to buy Premiums = More money for JM!

Currently they take no action against goldbuying.

You would think so, but in truth it doesn't seem to matter. The price of gold keeps dropping and the price of items stay the same, or have pretty steady inflation. But the inflation does not seem to be tied to the price of gold.

That was because the gold was duped. Gold bought from gold selling sites is already in the economy from gold bots. It is gold dropped from mobs.

You know there is a question I can't figure out. Where does the money go? I know many people who buy about 100mill per month, and they are not wearing sun. Normal +4/5 gear. "So where does all the money go, since if it stayed in the economy there would be tons of inflation.

Hadn't thought of the whore house
But if you buy future sets of gear then you bought them from someone so the money didn't disappear. Someone has it and will use it eventually. I mean gold buyers buy stuff from me all the time. Eventually I will use the money, it is still part of the economy.

totally agree with glavie...
more disposable income...n since u cant earn interest storing gold in sro...so consumers spend more...n tht will push up aggregate demand...n therefore demand pull inflation...BUT not everyone has tht much gold...so we'll hav 2 wait abit longer...lol...

It's because it was duped, I'm pretty sure each gold has a different tag of some sorts and when they duped it there were billions of gold with the same tag.
