I wanna start trading, with my lvl 21 cleric, because i heard, that 1* trades can't be ataked by thiefe, and as an beginner, it should be an 1* trade.
Questions:
1: How does the star system work? how do i know if i have a one star trade or higher?
2: If i am a one star trade, can NPC thiefs atk me?
3: Should i trade with a cleric
4:Should i hire a hunter over my lvl? If possible?
5: SHould i try to get my guild to make a 1* trade run with like 5 guys?
Oh and im on Persia

1) when you buy goods, it will actually show the amount of stars at the btm of the trading window iirc.. the more you purchased for trading, the more the stars
2) one star trader below level 40 can only be attacked by NPC thiefs ...traders above level 40 can be attacked by player thiefs even when doing 1 star
3) well, 1 star trade spawn thiefs ard your level so it should not be a problem for you.
4) imho it ain worth it to hire someone over a 1 star trade
5) well.. solely depends on your guild members.. some thinks that making 1 star trade aint worth it and prefer to grind and get $ out from there..

1: How does the star system work? how do i know if i have a one star trade or higher?
1] in your inventory it tells you how many stars you have.
2: If i am a one star trade, can NPC thiefs atk me?
2]yes, they can and will; they double spawn with bargain goods.
3: Should i trade with a cleric
3]sure why not
4:Should i hire a hunter over my lvl? If possible?
4]hunters make the journey easier
5: SHould i try to get my guild to make a 1* trade run with like 5 guys?
5]yes mass trade runs are fun and bring in revenue for your guild
6] also when you have bargain goods player thieves can atk you regardless of lvl or stars

ok for all lvl 20 people, don't go trade run alone, without a hunter, i tryed it from constantinopel, but at the droa dock near the trojan horse, there are somany party and giant pirates ( i think 3 party, 1 giant, and 1 champion), i had no chance

If you have probs with monsters, get on Vent and have a higher level char ahead of you scouting.
One of my guildies ideas is to do his trade runs with a camel and spam pots on him so the camel doesn't die. He just keeps going and ignores the npc thieves.

hmm great idea.. and if you are lucky you will earn enough money to buy at least some of the recovery kits that you will need for the next run XD
but you can do that to cross the kokoru area and maybe punisher/closier as well.
or you just wait until lvl 30. i think as pure int thats a good lvl to start trading because with a much lower lvl you will die to the mobs near samarkand

Yep, that's my thought, I'm going to wait to do my first run @ lvl 30 from Samarkand to Constan.
Of course there's also the Jangan - DW run, at level 30 it should be relatively easy.

The easiest way to trade for a low level is from jangan to the bandit outpost. You must first complete a quest that will unlock the trade outpost. The highest mob you will run into is like lvl 14 so all you have to worry about is the npc thieves that you will spawn. (npc theives will be your lvl) There is a very detailed guide on trading that you should read. I believe it is stickied somewhere (in the guide and tutorial section most likely)

get a hunter if you can, they always help the npc thieves that spawn. yes, they can attack you.
at the bottom of you transports inventory, itll tell you what star it is.
it is fine to trade with a cleric, as long as you know how to use it.
if you want, you can do it with your guild, although it wont make much of a difference, it could sitll be more fun

Ok looky

This is the newest and most up to date trade guide.
Those others are of the old trade system.
If you do the bandit den quest then you can trade by yourself!!!!
You dont need any hunters.

i'd thought that the euro update made the job system almost perfect, but gay gamers once again proved me wrong. i got popped on my very first trade run after euro update from dw to jg. YES POPPED... by a high lvl trader with his high lvl npc thieves... and his little high lvl thief friend was standing right beside him to get my goods.
so be careful even when you are under lvl40 and doing 1 star. it doesn't happen as much now (no more thief parties waiting at crossroads) but there are still those that are gay enough to do this.
Unlocking bandit post trading route..

so..to unlock the route we have to be a trader right?
so..my question is, do we need to wear the trader flag (acting as a trader to do the mission?

yep you must be in trader for the whole quest. Make sure you use horses and avoid thieves. (South gate etc)
The safest place to hunt white tigers is right behind the den wall back entrance.
The quest is very easy, not dying is the hard part.
