Hunter 1* protection?

Does hunter get the 1* protection too when he is in the same party as the 1* trader?
No, Hunters and theives get no protection, regardless of their party, they are free game from the moment they step out of town,

also if you are a hunter and they are only 1 star somethings seams a little cowardly
