No, wearing garment clothing makes it so you use 20%(?) less mana when you use a skill, and the speed increase.

Garments do not increase your nuke damage!! It will just give you 20% extra running speed, and reduce your mp consumption.

The type of protector you are wearing will not change your dmg..The only bonuses are:
Armour = Highest phys def, Lowest mag def
Protector = Medium phys and mag def, +10% speed, -10% MP consumption
Garment = Lowest phys def, Highest mag def, +20% speed, -20% MP consumption

Old Tom Bombadil heeded not the voices,
taps, knocks, dancing feet, all the nightly noises;
slept till the sun arose, then sang like a starling:
"Hey! Come derry-dol, merry-dol, my darling!"
sitting on the door-step chopping sticks of willow,
while fair Goldberry combed her tresses yellow

i'd like to complete saying that usely people who wears garment choose the full INT build. And this increases the power of your nukes !

It does NOT increase the power of nukes, it only reduces the mana consumption

Okay listen up. The reason people think that gear effect damage output is because the Reinforce stat on a weapon affects damage output.
However reinforce on clothes does not.

Proof
Take off a piece of clothes with no STR or INT on them.(str and int will affect damage)
Look at your magic attack power ( Press C)
Then put the piece back on.
Guess what your damage doesn't change.

:!: The reinforce on clothes is about defence :!:

Example:

"Reinforce mag 40%"

That's actualy

"Reinforce mag DEFENCE: 40%"

Why? maybe because the first one is smaller to fit on the item's stats window

He was referring to being pure INT not wearing garments.

It just sounds confusing because he added that 'most of the time full INT builds wear garment' part, and because the scentence isn't grammatically correct :P

OK
I just answered quiclky and maybe the garment doesn't provide more power on nukes and it is better the build, full int that increase damage with nukes. But many people who have a full int build are wearing garment clothes (speaking about chinese only).
I dont think you're in a position to say i'm an idiot or not. It is so easy.
You are a kid.

Go out of there kid, go playing Wii and grow a little bit before insulting again.

garment gives 20% mp reduce

Let say if a skill costs 100 mp

Then Take 100-20=80, then you save 20 mp.. It doesnt sound much but at higer levels the full strs really need that:P

And garment gives 20% extra speed to
