Hey, I'm <fairly> new to Silkroad and the MMO genre in general, and I just have a quick question:

Do you get any bonuses from having a full set of the same type of armor?

Depends on if you are chinese or european... Chinese does get bonusses to speed and mp decrease usage if wearing protector or garment. European is the same speed/mp usage for all kinds of wearable protection

Okay, so I have a Chinese character who wears armor. Do I get bonuses from wearing, say, a full scale armor, rather than like having some scale armor, and some bronze armor?

Armor: No bonus.
Protector: +10% walking speed, -10% mana cost on skills
Garment: +20% walking speed, -20% mana cost on skills.

I don't know about the mana-part. But the speed buff counts for BOTH races.

Note: You only get the buff when you wear a FULL set of either protector or garment.
