plus 3 weps and shields

im havin trouble finding plus 3 weapons and shields im wonderin whether or not i should just buy some weapon elixers and upgrade it myself, how often do weapon elixers fail and if they do fail does the weapon break?

weapon can only break after +4 or +5 without immortal...(or steady lol) but you wont go further than +3 so w/ ever...
if you plan to +3 a weapon yourself just make sure you got lucky powders of the right degree (same as the weapon you are plussing)..also, just check stall network everytime youre in town =]
fail/succed, its random luck
