Hello,Im new too the whole Silkroad game.I was wondering if someone could mentor me in the game.I play on the Eldorado server.I am not sure if this is the write section,but if it isnt,please move it.I would like to know as much as i can about this game.I have played a little and i seem to like full str fire glaive.

Don't make one 'cause they're overused, and frankly quite boring :S

But if you really like 'em, then you should make one. But many times people just claim to like something because it is mainstream.

Ice glaive btw is funner than crap.

I have noticed they are used alot in videos.Possibly full str fire bow?

I was about to complain about the waste of posts until I quoted and realized each smilie is a link, now I feel kind of bad. They're all guides. If you take 2 hours out to read all of the guide then it will save you 2 weeks of grinding and realizing you messed up and then starting over again.

I know I could read the threads and such,but when I read it,it is like in one ear and out the other.I cant remeber anything XD.I cant print them due to my printer being half melted,and my system im running for some reason wont let me minimize the game so i can get it in a window.

Imo dont read all the guides at once..you will get very confused and it will just feel like studying...its a game i dont think ppl shouldnt study a game..just go into the game at first and make a char if you want and get to know your way around..then for example you need help deciding your build...then you go to the build thread..you decided you wanted a certain build (http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=19902)..make it in another char or in your current...then go to that certain build thread and read it...if you found you did something wrong make another char..etc.

And dont be afraid to make a 2nd and 3rd char. i made about 6 chars so far untill i figured out the game nicely at first it would seem tough to level so you will feel like you dont want to make another char and still have to level it again..but once you get to know the game you will level faster

That would be pretty much metaphoric about the builds since you already made yours..

yes, switching from fire to ice would make glaivers so fun to play everybody will give up botting just to play them...[/sarcasm]
Actually, dear Raingul, there is a reason why one would choose fire for glaiver. mag defence buff, phy attack buff, phy attack passive....need to add some more? Fire shield for icers like you . Highest damage of them all...When would the list end.

On the other hand, let's look at the ice glaiver : wicked phy defence(being str and ice phy defence)...so? str vs str is in 90% of cases a pot war, so dealing lower damage and having higher defence would make the fight even more ridiculous. And the ints would have an easier time with you since your phy defence is nothing against their nukes and you deal crappy damage(no passive no nothing)...Oh yes, there might be some "ice freezes people" involved...well for that you need to check out my "how to use the universall pills" guide . Plus that high lvls can be imune to ice with accesory blues and emperor buff . So maybe mainstream is not that dumb?
