What armor should I use for 7d

Well I actually realized that 7d is starting to get closer and closer and that I need to decide what sort of armor to wear. I am a pure int s/s nuker currently using full sos garm with sos shield and sword. Many friends are suggesting the stupid jewel armor but is that really the best choice?

Thanks

At least if you ask me, armors for pure int are a hard choice. So, they say like this:

1. If you want to survive 2-hits when fighting a pure str you should use armor and that is the best choice you can make.

2. Protector is faster, but gives you less armor and a bad choice.

3. Garment gives you speed boost, less mana usage and you will be able to survive a nuke from a player the same as you level. Since a battle with a pure str is more dependent on your sox garment.

So my suggestion: Garment.

At level 60 you should definitely switch to armor, and i would suggest that you'd start switching now. For a pure int at those lvls armor is really the most viable choice.

Sure garment makes you faster, it also get's you killed faster.

Make sure you have a late 7D/early 8D garm set.

Nachals hurt. :(

There's other mobs before the nachals that will hurt you quite a bit in garms.

Well, maybe this will help.

I have been in gamrs up to lvl 30, when i got armor, then switch back to 5D garms, and then 6D garms. Now im going to use armor from 60-66, then im getting a garm set to fight nachals :)

I suggest you use armor to fight the phy mobs up until nachals :)

Protector is right in the middle of Armor or Garment. If you don't want the weakness of armor, or the weakness of garms, you go for whats in the middle.

I think Im heading towards protector because I want it for 8D its just so sexy. Its not really the pvp side of things its the kakoram and phys mobs. When people say pure str can own pure int well that is stupid because the only pure str thats beats me is glaive and I still win 60% of the time.

So If I get SoS protector its probably the best but keep the opinions coming.

Still undecided But I thought I should mention. Im going to be farming a fare bit at lv 52-60ish in kakoram. Whatever is the best for this is what Im going to use.

Thanks for your help but I ask for that last peice of info^^

At 52 pure int you will be grinding on the penons since you will one nuke and lion shout them with a decent sword. Now penons are phy dmg, the ishades/sonars are magic. I farmed a month there in protector and it was fine, but I have better gear then most. I would try the penons if you use more hp pots then mp pots move to the ishades you should be able to one nuke them I think.

P.S I consider farming as a term used with a full 9 gap, anything less is just gapping imo.

At 52 Ill have a 7 gap so 54 will be 9. How decent would the sword need to be? I was planning on just going 52+5 but if I need sos +3 for farming then I will.

If you can afford an sos then get the sos, for your what your skills lack the sword will pick up in higher damages. If you can't kill a mob in one imbue you need a better weapon or a lower lvl mob.
