is the new silkroad europe going to be an update or do you have to go to the silkroad online site to download it?

Will be auto-patched, you will not have to do any manual labor.

Unless your autopatch doesn't work, like it doesn't work for so many people each time there's a large update - in which case, you'll have to go to the Official SRO website and use the manual patch. :roll:

You can download the client for europe now! But you can't install it until the patch is released!
