Help(If this is in the wrong section sorry)

i have this problem where
i play for about 30 minutes or so
and the game either freezes, or the screen turns black
or my computer restarts
as for video card i have a pretty old one but im pretty sure its good enough
its
geforce4 ti 4200
is tat too old?
or is there some other way to fix this problem
(btw its not one of those ????? problems)
