whats farming?

hey i went 2 a stall like 2 days ago and some1 put thigns 2 sell that were lvl 5 for bout 23 mil i was like wtf? and he said it was "farming" could some1 tell me wats farming?

theres plenty of guides saying "sp farming" around, which give a good explanation of farming....
basically, people take pimped, +3-7 SOS gear, usually at lvl 16, and go one it mobs, usually bandit archers, and amass a ton of sp, which they use to then level with a 0 gap
but people also farm at the levels in which u get new gear, such as
8-16-24-32....64
