Ruby vs Jade Tablets and Other Alchemy/Stat Questions.

My understanding is that Ruby Tablets change base (white) Stats and Jade Tablets give you blue increases but on one of the posts I saw a Jade Tablet not only give a blue increase it also increased a white stat. What's going on? Do Ruby Tablets increase/decrease blue stats too?
Also I have an item that has a blue bonus of Int 2 (50%). If i wanted to increase the Stat to like 2 (100%) or 3 (75%) or whatever, do I just use another Jade Tablet or would a Ruby suffice?
Do tablets always change something even when they fail? Or do they only fail when you are in a laggy area?
Should you use intensifiers before using tabs. Do intensifiers help increase alchemy effectiveness or are they completely unrelated. What do intensifiers do anyway? I mean i know they give you a +1 or whatever to weapons or accessories but i don;t have any idea what that means really. (And i do know how to do it, elixir weapon intensifier lucky powder so don't need that explained, just the point of doing it).
What do the base and percentage bonuses mean anyway? I guess the higher the better but does a 100% for example mean you always deliver 100% damage (the high damage bonus) or parry or whatever? How does something like that work for Int?
Do Lucky Items have a greater chance of working with Alchemy tablets. I used a tab on a lucky item once and the lucky didn't reduce; I expected the lucky to go down from 3 to 2. (Granted I was in a laggy area and the tab didn't work so I don't know what happened, except i lost the elements i used).
I hate being frozen so a lot of times I use the fog tab. Thing is a few of my items already have this ability. Is there any sense in having multiple items with frostbite resistance. Are the bonuses cumulative? Does the level iof the item affect its effectiveness? Like how does a level 1 necklace with frostbite resistance compare against a level 17 item? And do frostbite items increase the speed of universal pills in getting unfrozen or again unrelated?
Also do certain items alchemy better in certain areas than others. I always think the dodge bonus should be used on my shoes and maybe legs while durability should go on my chest, weapon and shield. I am basing it on my own common sense but does the game register where something goes?
Well thanks for any help. I'll keep doing searches for info in the meantime. Or playing or both.
