if elite giants are 10 times as strong as a normal giant wouldn't that mean that you would get 150 times more exp then from a normal mob?

its for the euro chars that are in the exp share party so they can level at a decent rate.

In fact the new mobs with the blue icons aren't elites either. But people calls them in that way because it's a more familiar name. Th Elites are still the giants spawned by uniques. The new blue icon mobs are party mobs. And there are giant party mobs too.

And yes, you get SHIT loads of xp from them.

Me and my party killed one once, and I leveled twice

I was level 8 though fighting level 15's

[EDIT:] I didn't really level twice, but I got 50% xp, I was just exaggerating. I bet you could level twice though...
