Item Stacks - can they be divided?

You know - say I have 50 potions, or 1073 fire elements, or whatever. Is it possible to divide them up?

Reason:
I have about 5k fire elements, but I'd like to divide them into smaller, more managable numbers (say 1k) to sell them - that and when I pull all of them out of storage, use a few hundred, then put them back in, it charges you for everything you put back in - so I only want to take out say 100 at a time.

Hold Shift + Left click the item. A window will pop up asking how many you want to seperate.

This can only be done with items in your inventory. IE: You cant seperate items in your storage or pet. You must move them to your personal inventory first.
