Hi Folks!
Hope we all get SoSun weapon drops today!
This is just an FYI ... no question ... for us NOOBs I thought this would be a good piece of info.
To bring SRO in and out of Window Mode type:
<
Windows key - press and hold><
Alt - press and hold><
Enter - press and release>.
Here are some specifics:
Your current Windows display settings must be set HIGHER than the SRO video settings or this won't work.
Try the following: in Windows set your display to at least 1024x768 w/ 32bit color if you can. Next, start SRO, and before logging in, set the video settings to 800x600.
Now, log into SRO and try setting windows mode with the key sequence <Windows Key - press and hold><Alt key - press and hold><Enter key - press and release> then release other keys. Your screen should turn black while resetting the video mode and then appear with SRO in a window.
I personally run my Windows XP display at 1280x1024 and run SRO in window mode at 1024x768 w/o problems.
You can get back to full screen mode with the same key sequence done within your SRO window.
Thanks,
twarg1

Sorry for not providing the specifics.
I've only tested it on Windows XP.
Press and hold down <Windows Key><Alt> and then press and release the <Enter> key.

They Said that in options b4 u launch u can change it there but all u can do is just change GFX and resolution no window mode.

Hi xWesley, sorry its not working for you
Hummm...I've tried it on a few (4) WindowsXP computers and it worked fine on all of them, but I will continue to see if I can figure out why it doesn't work on some. As you have heard, if your graphics card does not support a resolution greater than the resolution you have SRO set to it may not work. Later this evening (I'm on PST) I will try to reset my SRO resolution to the max of my graphics card and then try windows mode again to see if it still works or not.

OK xWesley, here is what I found.
Your current Windows XP display settings must be set
higher than the SRO video settings or this won't work. Try the following: in Windows XP set your display to at least 1024x768 w/ 32bit color if you can. Next, start SRO, and before logging in, set the video settings to 800x600.

You can get back to full screen mode with the same key sequence done within your SRO window.
Good luck!

didn't work for me either running windows xp too. My guess is that it will only work if your game resolution is lower then your desktop resolution but really i see no reason for running sro in windowmode so i'm not gonna test it out.
