A Nuker is a Pure INT or Hybrid INT that uses a skill that looks like a giatn spell blast, referred to as Nuke.
A tanker is a pure STR of Hybrid STR player that has loads of HP so they can "tank" which means having a long battle without dying as they have so much health.
Like a tank can withstand bullets

OK LEARN BASIC SLANG DONT ASK US WHY WE USE THEM! ASK THE WEIRDO WHO BEGAN SLANG AND WHO MADE IT SUCH A TREND
Tankers come from the word tank their defenses are so heavy they have to take alot to explode (or 'die') and have alot of power (physical in this case)
Nukers come from the word nuke, which represent a single missile delivering a mass of destruction (a nuke (atomic bomb) being dropped and the core causing the nuke to explode causing major destruction (magic damage) around it)

If you're having a single shell shot at you that's about to explode in your face and blow the living hell out of you, I don't think you'd be saying that it's "not that massive desctruction".
