Its so lame the way that the High lvl thiefs go whit theyr transport infront of the trader and the high lvl thief NPC that spawn atack your own transport ...... the trader dies .. and the thiefs is happy ??? Thats a f*cked up sistem that gives no sence to the 1star run since they can atack u Whats up whit that ? How can such big area have only 2 ferrys .. i think they shoud add atleast 2 more .. nvm that lets get back to the thief trader stuff .. Has someone find a way to avoitd them ... cus i havent .... I use alot ot transport pots and in the end its like i have - gold instead of + ... so can you help whit some guide or smthing .. all high lvl thiefs stay at the ferry .. so we low lvl traders have no choise
I was popped once and the theif was nice enough to give me 40k, (I only spent 16k on the transport) because he said that he only did it for the theif exp.
So yeah sometimes you get lucky...

if u see a thief with a trasport turn around. if u cant out run him DC from the game and log back on in a little while and hope he's gone and finish your trade.and always use a horse.
i was doing trade runs in persia 1* and frankly, it gets boring when u just battle npc thieves all day long. sometimes, its nice to have a couple of close calls when doing trade runs, besides, trade runs should never be safe anyway. you can always kill your own thieves so its boring. money is not too bad knowing u can get like 80k per run on a camel and when persia started out, nobody had money.
but, that's just me. it helps that i was pur str doing the run so it takes longer for hghr lvl npc thieves to pop me.
hmm... well, im one of these one-star-popping assholes now. why? got a lv4- trader- character first, but it does really get boring. and even becoming lv 64+ doesnt prevent u from being ripped.
im on my way to lv4 thief now, and its fun. way more than the half of my thief runs are stopped by some higher hunter - thats life 2! if theres a bug in the game a legit can use, then take advantage of it.
God i hate people who complain so much about this. Having thief's out there is what makes it FUN to trade. Why would anyone do a 1* trade for a small 50k, when they can go and grind that money in half the time?? The simple answer is, TRADE RUNS ARE FUN! And what makes them fun?? Sitting there tracing the trader leading the pack isnt fun. No what makes it fun is the fact that u CAN get popped, and it is that risk that makes it interesting to do. Otherwise u are simply walking from point a to point b, rinse repeat. Or in the case of a pack trade run, Press a, hit "trace" and go afk for 15 mins while your horse trades for you.
Back in the day when i just started SRO, once i hit lvl 20 i tried many trade runs, and got popped ALOT. But did i complain?? no! it was fun to do, and its as simple as that.
thye can repair the popping stuff, even if they make thiefs spawn hunters. as long as there are lightning thiefs(err, hunters), i dont care. popping wont be gone than i popped more people with lightning thiefs than i did with actually getting my horse in front of urs.
