BR on Sword/Blade and Crit on Shield

I don't quite understand what these blue stats do, could someone explain please. Br is easier to understand as to that the higher Br then the more you will block, but Crit on a shield?

crit on a shield reduces the chance that your opponent takes a
critical hit on you. crit on a weapon increases the chance that you
will do a critical hit on your opponent.
br is block ratio. br increases the chance that you block your
opponents attack.

BR on a weapon as a blue means that it reduces the chance that ur opponent blocks you

Sorry for reviveing this topic but.... I searched for this and had 1 more question.. If you had Crit 100 (100%) on a shield then your monster/player pvping you has no chance to crit? or only on monsters?

If you have crit 100, your opponent can still crit on you at a reduced rate obviously.
