I've seen other pure int spear guys have that ice shield thingy that floats around them. so i assume i should get it. till what book do you think i should get it to?

Its not mandatory. But its a good idea. Really, all skills are a good idea to have, so max them out as far as you can.

Anyway, it all depends on your planned build. If you have enough skill cap room, then go ahead and max out ice. If you don't, then don't get it.

max it, saves u a lot of dmg... well not enuf to withstand a pure str run but hey, every lil bit helps. But if you are very lazy then skip it
