This is kind of a random question, but yesterday my game did a little update thingy

Does this mean they added something new in, like a new monster O_o. Or is this just a routine update and there is no difference.

Im pretty sure it was a patch that prevents the new line bug. Should stop people from impersonating others in chat.

yes it was the patch against impersonation on the chat.
"chat fraud prevention" i think it was called

If you check the official website, they tell you what was updated for every patch.
