Making an item "blue" doesn't really do anything for the item. It just means it has some extra stat or effect added on. A blue item may actually be worth not as much as a white item of the same kind. You have to also consider the stats and such. When picking up drops from monsters, some people only go for "blue" items. However, I find many white items have awesome crits/BRs or even plusses. I have this level 10 bow that has +7 on it from a drop. I use that when I delevel to 15 for farming. (I delevel just enough to get to level 15 from 16. This is just to get as much out of 16 as possible :D . Ignore this if it makes no sense. it's intended for other farmers and such that may be confused as to why I went to 15)
