Few Questions, gear stats and skill related

Ok my first question is to do with skills, such as ice/fire/lighting...

I’ve not chosen to stick with one or two; I opted to level all of them*...

My question with skills is this; most people have lighting for
buffs/grass walk/flow and phantom walk, but would using
lighting as a main skills for imbue be a bad idea?

I’m a bow user at level 42 nearing 43 and I’m not pure str…
meaning I hadn’t a clue when I started sro and
have attempted to salvage my first character so
I’m kind of str heavy or that’s the plan from now on.

Every str build mentioned is fire based, is the main reason
purely higher damage?
And how does lighting stack up against fire?

And my other question is on gear and stats...

Like I said above I’ve planned to be str heavy from now on,
and this is what I’ve been using until recently:

I’ve made few changes but nothing big, I know as str you
should preferably wear garments but I don’t hunt or thieve
much so I just used armour for now.

Here’s what I plan to change too (already using the bow obviously)

Its alchemy is still a work in progress as you can see and
main question is does adding int/mp have a big adverse
affect on str builds?

(incase it's needed, character stats link, with and without gear)

(*and yes I’m aware of the amount of sp needed for such a task,
but I play this game for fun mainly so I’m not too bothered so long
as I have fun :) )

ive had the same question in my mind for a while. if your pure str shouldnt you wear armour that increases INT so you can catch up a little and ur attacks hit harder?

What? Do you mean garment? Also the type of armor you wear has nothing to do with your damage output.

Fire imbue>lightning imbue damage wise although they are pretty close. I would suggest using fire imbue as you also need some other buffs in the fire tree and level the imbue with those. Also most pure str do wear garment but seeing how your hybrid, and you already have a nice protector set, it would be fine to wear protector.
Pure str people usually level a weapon tree, level fire tree for fire shield, phys buffs and imbue, and level lightning tree for grasswalk and buffs. Cold is optional but is usually leveled for the extra armor. Some people level heuksal instead of cold for the extra hp and dual weapons.

thanks for your reply :)

I intent on levelling all 3 (cold/fire/lighting) mainly for buffs and
Imbues rest are optional, it's just needing grass walk and phantom
got me thinking if I just levelled lighting mainly and pacheon skills
and get the rest later. But I’ll just carry on as I am.
(Maxing all three at level 33 mastery along with main skills and then farming)

Anyone have any thoughts on how int increases affect str builds damage?

From what I’ve read hybrids bows generally do overall more damage
but pure str do more damage on critical hits, but how much int would
adversely affect critical hits?

Main imbue is personal preferance. I am a hybrid bow and I am quite satisfied with lightning imbue.
Just personal preference.

Since you are leveling all the trees, I would say get book 1 in each and compare them.

As far as I know crit is double your physical damage.
So adding str to your gear will increase your crit and phys damage.
Adding int to gear increases your imbue damage.

Having int and str on your gear definitly helps your damage output.

As an added bonus I am pretty sure your magic defence goes up with the added int points, and same for str.

As a hybrid you would benefit alot from the peircing force buff as well as the equivelent fire buff.
